I f you are thinking of choosing our church for your wedding, here is what you need to know and what to do next. Engaged couples can now be married in Anglican parish churches, but not cathedrals, if they meet just one of the following criteria: one of them was baptised or prepared for confirmation in the parish one of them has ever lived in the parish for six months or more one of them has at any time regularly attended public worship in the parish for six months or more one of their parents has lived in the parish for six months or more in their child's lifetime one of their parents has regularly attended public worship there for six months or more in their child's lifetime their parents or grandparents were married in the parish
Come and Talk to Us: We would love to have a conversation with you about your wedding, even if you don't think you qualify. Please get in touch with us on the form below and we will be in contact. Here’s what will happen: After an initial conversation, you will need to meet the Minister to discuss the options available to you (e.g. flowers, music, etc) and to gather the information required to meet the legal obligations.
